valentines bad for love

Short and really to the point. If you’re in a relationship you feel required to do things and in doing so how are you really showing how much you care? It wasn’t something you chose to do out of your own free will because if you don’t do anything you’re going to be living in the doghouse for a while. Now if you’re not in a relationship everyone knows the day isn’t exactly wonderful for you either.

On the other hand cute little things like this tend to give me a better feeling about the holiday in general. The last one below is my favorite though.

Of all the things in my life I would consider vices it would seem one is far worse than the rest. Now you may be thinking some sort of substance addiction but that’s not quite it. At first when I read Kirk Biglione’s post over at Medialoper I laughed to myself as I realized not many people I know would understand what he was even talking about. The realization came to me slowly as I tapped ‘j’ to move on to the next item in Google Reader. In the next few minutes I found myself thinking “Am I the same way?” and “Do I also suffer an RSS addiction?” The only conclusion that I can come to is that yes indeed I am addicted to reading all my feeds. I also enjoy it and sometimes wonder how I ever used the internet without them to guide my reading. Things would be simple if it just stopped there but I’ll be innocently browsing some sites online and there it is…

ahh RSS

Sitting there just staring at me from the address bar, “You know you want to.” or “How else will you keep track of this great site?” and I give in. Currently I’m at 158 feeds and loving it.

Definitely had one of these experiences that ended no less than 5 minutes before seeing this comic.

I know I saw this survey some time ago and just moved along yet for whatever reason I found it much more amusing this time around. My score was 35 which puts me squarely in the “31-40: As your doctor, I recommend moving out of your parents’ basement” category but I think thats just some sort of strange veiled compliment. Things as this surely make you realize how strange the names for the newfangled websites are and makes me wonder if it’s all done by random.

After all the craziness and incidents with the ps3 release what I saw from the Wii release was much more like this. Apparently only overpriced and understocked video games cause violence, not the video games themselves.

I myself wasn’t lucky enough to get a Wii but some of my friends have. Let me tell you that it is more fun than I could have imagined to actually play the games. Might have to go out and buy myself a christmas present afterall

Aside from the wonders of the Wii, I’m not sure if I’ve ever explained how much I love xkcd and the comics their but they’re just so well done. Maybe not in the area of drawing ability but so many of them hit close to home for me, this one especially. Beyond that I don’t feel as lame thinking they’re hilarious since there is obviously at least one other person out there that agrees with me. Hopfully a lot more.
