Definitely had one of these experiences that ended no less than 5 minutes before seeing this comic.
Unfortunately I’ve yet to see the movie but soon dammit. Once all of the motherfucking social responsibilities of welcome week are out of the motherfucking way or I find a little break I’m going to see it. I’ve only heard amazing things and hopefully the movie is so motherfucking awful it’s motherfucking amazing.
I could have tried to be very productive today but it appears I wasn’t much in the mood for that. Instead I’ve enjoyed the many wonders the internet in all it’s greatness could bring me. To save you from too many images I decided to go links galore today. Enjoy the reading.
- details of Wes Anderson’s next next movie.
- Too bad DFA1979 didn’t let me know they were breaking up as they planned to as of a year ago.
- Pretty cool site/book on new art…
“At the Edge of Art makes the case for art that is empowered rather than emasculated, seditious rather than sedate. Yet as important as art’s new functions may be, the Internet–that global lifeblood through which so much of this new art circulates and is recognized–offers no wall labels or a gallery shingles to tell us whether a work is art.”
- The image of the day at we make money not art was more than a little amusing and left me thinking “…but baby, the ad really convinced me to do it. I ony did it because I care about you”.
- I knew SubPop was an awesome record label. It looks like they’re the first label to be green-e certified. That means they use a certified renewable energy product or pay to subsidize it. Either way it sounds pretty awesome to me.
- I started reading some comics online and my favorite one, xkcd, while maybe hit or miss is amazing if you get it all. Some of my favorites: computational linguistics, myspace, blogofractal, pain, and music knowledge.
