Zooomr

I have really underused the great service Zooomr provides but this morning I was going to upload my pictures from vacation up their and finally get around to using it much more often. I visit the site and low and behold they’re in the process of releasing Mark III, the newest incarnation of Zooomr. Only some of the great things we can expect in this release:

  • 6 Months in the making
  • Over 250 NEW features, improvements and refinements
  • Sell your photos as stock — you keep 90% of the sale!
  • Unlimited storage and archival for all users — no limits on photo size, either!
  • For developers: An Open API so that you can access all of the richness of Zooomr in your own apps.

Once this is released on the 15th, two days away, I’m sure I’ll get more use out of it and finally build up my online photos as I’ve been meaning to do for a couple years now. The public API is damn exciting as well since I’m thinking of finding a good way to put it to use and hopefully it works. The suspense is so great I can hardly contain myself. My regards to both Thomas Hawk and especially Kristopher Tate for all the work they’ve put in to making this happen.
